Soweto Old Age Home
On our arrival at the Soweto Old Age Home, we were welcomed by the Assistant Manager Ms Carol Mathebula who showed us around and gave us
a bit of background about the Home. Basically the home was built by the
Methodist church
and survives on donations from the community and Organisations every
month. Carol axplained to us
what a struggle it is for the home to make sure that the 42 employees gets a
salary
every month and to make sure that other bills like maintanence of the
property, gardening etc
gets paid. This home needs our help to survive and keep doing
the great work that its does for our community.
The party started with the band from the South West College
Pionist - Karabo Rapotu
Sex player - Oscar Rachaba
Vocalist - Keamogetswe Maleka
The band sang afro jazz numbers that took the residents way back and down
memory lane,
some of them could not help but get on the dance floor.
At lunch time the residents enjoyed the meal which was sponsored by our
tenants.
THANKS TO THE SPONSORS THAT MADE THIS POSSIBLE:
